I've got a tonne of serials from that site already, you don't need the app. Tis ace! My Windows is now genuine! (apparently). Well to be fair it should be but I've lost all the origional installation gumf.

there's a new forceware out 190.38 that was released as a beta driver a week ago.
I've got rock solid stability on my current drivers but alt-tabbing takes 30 seconds out of WoW and these new drivers fix it.

If I were you, I'd create a restore point and try out 190.38.

Beta drivers aren't rock solid, but then again, full released drivers aren't either... some people will always have problems somewhere.
That's The REVEREND Dr. Kazza to you.

You can get the latest ones from here for Vista (also for XP/7 if you go tot he main downloads menu)

190.56 they have.

The 'Beta' nevidia drivers get released constantly and there's nothing wrong with them... I think they just can't be bothered to get WHQL 5 times a week for each set.

Never ever ever ever use the Windows Update graphics drivers - they suck major donkey schlong.

The 190.56 on that link say 32bit. I'm assuming I should wait as I'm on 64bit Vista

My currentversion are 185.85 it seems.

Well the 190.40's underneath are 64bit

There are even some newer WHQL'd ones.

I was mainly asking as despite the 56's havuing 32 bit in title, they seemed to have 32|64 in id also.

I'll grab the 40's, thanks.

Very handy way to get (most of) your favourite apps installed after a clean wipe (as a lot of people will be doing for W7):

http://ninite.com

You just pick what apps you want and download the custom installer.

http://software.informer.com/

You install a small client and it auto-checks all your installed software for updates and provides you with a custom web-page with links to all their websites. Really handy and informative. Free too.

There is a bit of malware/spyware called 'Software Informer/System Informer'.

It is a keylogger/search redirector etc and needs registry edits to get rid of it. It is flagged by most anti-spyware/malware apps.

However... I'm not sure if that's actually the same one. The malicious app may just go by the same name... even so I'd personally be suspicious of anything that scans your entire PC and send the results to some random company webserver.

If it's legit then apologies... but I don't like the look of it tbh :/

Speedyfox is a one-click executable that defragments firefox profile databases, eliminating the slowdown in startup/bookmarks etc that occurs over time.
