Look ok?

One thing tho with the graphics card I've noticed there are 560ti's with 384 cores and some with 448 cores and slightly more memory, do I want to go for the latter or is the increase not worth it?

The HSF is £32 you don't need to spend and won't be quieter if the chassis is decent, especially over the gfx card.

The Kone+ are fantastic but usually break within 6-12 months.

Happy with a Gigabyte board....? ooookaaaaayyy..... They're supposedly not as horrendously godawful as they used to be. Allegedly.

The 560 Ti 448 is about 25% faster than the normal one, so if they aren't 25% more expensive then they're better value. Whether you want the speed or not is up to you.

Personally I'd be getting a 6950 anyway because while the GeForces usually come out with slightly better fps scores their frame times (which is what matters) frequently spaz out. If you don't mind stutter-city then np buy nVidia. I'd seriously consider a 2GB card with cards in that range too, as they're capable of handling expanded texture packs for the likes of Skyrim which gobble up VRAM. If you don't use mods and are happy with blobbly textures c&p'ed from a console then it doesn't really matter, so YMMV.

But yus, nothing really wrong with your choices, decent enough m8

I could swap out the board for an asus one pretty much the same price, also I'm going for that hsf coz I'm going to overclock and I thought it would be better than the stock hs.

I know about the Kone but I tried LoneGuns last time I went to lan and just loved it.

I've always wondered about going ati now, last time I was updating tho I know ati cards had a problem with 120hz monitors ie wouldnt run the screen at 120hz.

I'll be getting one probably the new benq monitors as well, do ati still have the same problem with running 120hz?

Thanks Larch

Are you just running at 120Hz or wanting 3D too?

As far as I know it's not really so much a brand issue per se, more that the support seems heavily driver dependant depending on what GPU/monitor combination you have.

I'm not fussed about 3D is more for the 120hz in FPS games.

I had a 2233rz (in spain) but when I got back from my trip around Australia it had blown up, but I know that the viewsonic had problems with ati and 120hz and so did the samsung 2233rz

Also would the Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard be a better option for the motherboard?
