Hi all hope life is treating you well! Just got the net in my flat after going round Australia for a year and I'm looking to upgrade from my netbook :P

Last pc I built was nearly 3 years ago now so I'm really not up to date with all the new stuff that's out, I can still build it so I'm looking at buying all the parts (overclockers? ebuyer?) and building it myself.

I want to use it as a gaming machine, nothing crazy tho TF2 mainly and the new starwars MMO (doesn't need to be on full settings and all that jazz) just so it runs them without a problem (new games too but like I said I'm not fussed about having everything on full settings)

Budget wise I'm not sure what to spend 500-600 pounds maybe (not including a monitor) but the problem is I want a 120hz screen which might be costly I can't seem to find any of the 22" 120hz monitors they are all bigger now can you not get the smaller ones anymore?

Any pointers would be great even just where to buy the stuff from these days would be great and I can spec it up and research it all as I'm so out of date. I don't even know what motherboard chipset to go for or if I should go for i5 (is it a budget i7 whats the difference) what is standard ram etc etc it's all over my head atm.

Thanks guys and happy new year!

You can probably drop the Xonar, and should be able to get 8GB DDR3 for about that price.
