Hello nerds,

Found this very useful. It's for when you need to change the 'default' speakers setting. Like what I didst need after just getting a new headset which is USB. I can now easily switch between headset and speakers.

Shouldn't have had this problem in the first place, but there you go. I wish they'd think things through a bit more when designing devices (is it logitech's fault, M$'s fault , both ? dunno, they're all bastards) All it would take would be a button on the headset to say, OFF, please direct audio to speakers. simples ?

You can do this via a hot key or CTRL-ALT-UP, CTRL-ALT-DOWN to change output.

The *only* issue I found was that it does not redirect sound ONCE an application has grabbed a device. So if you switch mid applicaiton you'll not hear a change until you restart the app. EG, running winamp, switch default, nothing will happen auraly, until you restart winamp, upon which it will output to the new designated default output device.
