So I went to New Zealand for a couple of weeks with the girlfriend and in between family time (meeting the fokking parents like) I managed to get out into the countryside a bit and snapped a few pics. Didn't have the time to do any real trekking but I still got a few good shots. Feel free to comment/criticise - I'm fairly new to this Digital image lark. And colour blind
Mount Doom:
Baby seals in a waterfall - too bizarre to be staged.
Just a polarising filter and then some basic lightroom presets if needed. I use photoshop to crop where necessary and sort out any levels that need it but I don't do any doctoring really. Unless it's for effect - in the 4th one I added the yellow in the path cause it was a bit fairy-tale-ish. I used to use the GIMP quite a lot but I recently picked up a copy of CS4 so I'm slowly learning all the bits and bobs. I think I'll probably try and be more creative with it later when I'm more comfortable with it.
In that third pic it had pissed down not long before and then the sun came out so there was a lot of evaporation mist.
