Been playing alot of poker lately, just got back from Vegas aswell and watched the Rio tourney WSOP, sat and watched Greg Raymer and Chris Ferguson (Jesus). Anyhow, my question is could somebody explain the tournaments entry system I play on Pokerstars and I see things such as:

Administrator: $160 Double Shootout, Guaranteed to award one seat in the WSOP 10K Final, starts in 4 minutes. To register see T9109178 under the Events/WSOP/CashSatellites tab.

This mean a 160 dollar buy in? What is a double shoot out?

Also you see:

Administrator: $5.50+R Turbo satellite to WSOP Qualifier starts in 14 minutes. To register see T9109389 under the Events/WSOP/Cash Satellites tab.

Does this mean it is 5.5 dollars to enter? what is the +R stand for?

Any help would be great as I want to play some tourneys.

Thanks,

I think a double shoot out is where you are allowed 1 rebuy but I have no idea. $5.50+R means it is $5.50 to enter, but for a specified amount of time (usually first hour) you are allowed to rebuy. That is if you lose all your chips, you can rebuy for $5.50 and get another shot.

Double chance basically means you get half your chips at the start, and the other half if/when you crash out.
