Anyone can still join the melee if they want.

We’re now live on the Stormrage server. As announced in the original Gnome Group thread here, this thread here is where we'll keep track of the Clan now that the show is on the road. Quick Summary:

Koalachan wrote: This thread will try to include:
  • All Wee Free Men characters known (with Class/Prof info)
  • Full Quest History log of the Anchor group for reference purpose (do NOT advance beyond it at pick-up times)
  • General level of the Anchor group
  • Location where we left off and expect to start next Tuesday
  • You're all encouraged to post here and recount the tales of our exploits if you feel like it and have the memory (or improvisation) skills to do so.

Anyone who wishes to be part of the Wee Free Men can do so if they simply follow some rules:

  • Show your intrest here in this thread and let us know what character you are going to play. It needs to fit the theme and by that I do mean having a reason why you 'd play anything but a gnome AND have a fitting name. If it's not immersive to the concept it's not gonna fly, capish? This also allows us to add people to our Friends list or later to a subguild maybe. The gnomes should really be male (we already got 2 females and that's definitely the limit) and have Red hair and the blueish skin.
  • There will be no obligation to keep up with the storyline, although you CANNOT go past it. By this I mean you don't have to schedule for the group game if that's not a commitment you can make. This allows for catching up tho and removes the need to make it on Tuesdays. Try NOT to level beyond the general level of the Anchorgroup.
  • The Anchor group can be any number of players I think. If we somehow have more than 5 people show up on Tuesday, I guess we can run 2 groups of 3 etc and play side by side even. With the easiness of setting up channels we'll do plenty fine. Almost like a Raid simulation.
  • No twinking/partying of any kind with other player characters that are not Wee Free Men. We're having our own Wee Free economy :-)
  • The Anchor group advances the Storyline at Tuesdays from 20.00 til 24.00 (GMT+1) on the Stormrage server

One little mistake there sir, you exchanged the trade skills of your magicians. It was Fion who went for Tailoring/Enchanting, and Gonnagle for Herbs/Alchemy

Can you post the Server in the first post in bold, just for completeness. I'll make my character - Warrior or Rogue, most likely Rogue - within the next 2 days and post details here.

Tifany, female Human* Priest (herbalism/alchemy) now on Stormrage. Note the 1 'f' in the name ;)

*started out as a dwarf female, got sick of the sight of her within minutes, changed to human for my sanity.

And a good thing too coz a female Dwarf priest would not have flown in the group concept if you get my drift. Foregoing your chance of the Toad are you :-)? I guess the Gonnagle has been rubbing off on you. Although I hesitate to follow that train of thought any further...

Story so far...feegle style

T'was aboot three days ago now when meself, Fion, and ma two brothers, Gonnagle and NacMacFeegle, set oot tae find a new hame and adventure along the way.

We started oot, just the three of us in snow that came up to oor knees, crivens it was cold. We met a few dwarves on the way who asked us for some help, knowing how guid we pictsies are at fighting stuff. We collected skins and wolf meat and helped them fight some bigjobs called t-r-o-g-g-s. (Gonnagle has been helping me wi' ma letters)

There were some other bigjobs called t-r-o-l-l-s and they had been theivin' so one of oor distant kin called Felix (strange name for a Feegle) asked us tae find what they had theived and bring them back tae him. Now there is naebody better than Feegles for theivin' back what's already been theived, we wuz in and oot in nae time at all.

One o' the bigjobs asked us to deliver a mug o' beer tae a friend o' his at a local inn, Gonnagle and NacMacFeegle wuz mightily tempted to drink it and leg it wi' the mug, but the dwarves wuz being sae helpful tae us I made the boys keep their promise.

We headed east through the mountains and found oorselves in a wee toon called Dun Morogh, it had been a long day of fightin' and theivin' sae we decided tae find a pub and have a drink or ten. Folks here are being good to us wee folk.

Eh, wasn't Gonnagle more like Fion's uncle? (Or possibly Fion's father, but the book was not 100% clear about that. More like 1% clear about it...) There was a reason he has white hair rather than red hair :)

Great stuff Freya.

Maybe it's a good idea to unearth the link to the Discworld Wiki about the Nac Mac Feegle so people can check what the hell we're on about . For one it learns us that:

Among the warriors of each clan is a gonnagle, or war-poet, whose job is to create terrible poetry that is recited during battles to demoralise the enemy. He is equipped with "mousepipes" (bagpipes made from mouseskin, often with the ears still attached), and the best ones can make the enemy's ears explode. Some of them travel from clan to clan, making sure the old songs and stories are still remembered and sharing the new ones.

far too much thought went into that, and the result of a year of writing online collaborative fiction, glad you liked it though.

I wasn't sure about the realtionship thing, so I just based it off the idea that a female NacMacFeegle sets off with some of her kin to find a new home where she would be the kelda, seemed right for our little band of Pictsies.

I remember reading that she's accompanied by a contingent of brothers because otherwise her poor heart would break not having any family in the new clan.

To help the atmosphere, I have gotten me a chat macro and created tables with quotes to unleash upon you all at the touch of a button. It's gonna be hilarious fun, I swear!

Mae name's StabMacEwe, named after my fatha and may fatha's fatha. His fatha was called Percee ad was a wee bit doolally, so we dinnae talk of him much.

I'm here fer the fighting, and fer the stabbing. Cos that be ma name, and that be my way.

I've been sitting in this there bar for hours, without seeing yees. Mae mind is as sharp as ma blade, so I know's yeee must be hiding frae mae, but when I find yeesm there'll be hell ta pae.

StabMacEwe - Lvl 8 Pictsee Rogue. I like flowers, but thae next one to call me a gurl gets stabbed, k.

***edit - I overleveled as I knew I couldn't make this weeks game as I'm in Denmark. Next week - 22nd March - looks a real possibility, so maybe we can have a Raid grouping :). Herb/Alchem, as I figured it was a sensible one to duplicate, but if we need anything - like an engineer - just let me know as I'd be fine with that. I completed all the quests in the open list from Koala's "end of week 1 status" I believe, so I'll be looking at where you get to after this weeks game so I can get myself to teh same place for teh following week :) ***

Sounds an interesting concept however why only male or should re-phrase limit of two, a gnome is a gnome regardless what gender.

Also where on earth did you get they have to have red hair and blueish skin, as above a gnome is a gnome, unless you want them to look exactly the same and all be members of the same family in which case everyone should have similar sounding names to show they are from the same family.

Its a nice idea but if you wouldn't this be better on the roleplay server which in essence this is?

Just wondering before I roll a character thats all :).
