I think there used to be a sticky with cool little things that were helpful in WoW and I'm sure there are better ones about now. Would anyone be so kind as to throw me a couple of links pls.

Hello mate.

here's something from Apathia forums:

A quick tip... ace addons are usually a lot more lightweight on CPU usage so try and use them if you can. they're really easy to install too you just run a program called WoW Ace Updater that does it for you.

1) KLH Threatmeter - http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/4204/
This is very good but hopefully will be outdated by Omen & Threat soon

2) Ventrilo - http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3629615/VentriloMIX_0.5_ - this is a torrent, you need something like utorrent to download it

3) SWSTATS- synced dmgmeter and healing, nice setup and easy to setup. http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/2091/

1a) CT Raid Assist - http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/i ... ssist.html
1b) oRA2 - Ace installed - see simple ace installation section below

2) Omen and Threat-1.0 you need both of these and they are Ace Addons. fingers crossed this will replace KLH Threatmeter

3) KC_Items - aced again, massively useful for almost every item functionality you can imagine, including AH scanning stuff

4) Spam Sentry - aced, it's a replacement for FUCKOFF! by joert, it stops gold sellers spamming you

5) Deadly Boss Mods - http://www.deadlybossmods.com/
This is an improvement on Bigwigs

Other stuff is just useful but non essential - ag_unitframes, FuBar (titan replacement), autobar etc, a good guide is to look at http://www.wowinterface.com, go to downloads and look at how many times people download an addon to guage its usefulness

Ace is really easy to setup...
Just download the WoWAceUpdater - http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=178751

run it and you'll see all the addons that are ace compatible

click one of the boxes and the press F10 to install OR update that addon.
To get started you need
Ace, Ace2, AceGUI, probably JostleLib and Deformat

the only ones that I also use a lot that aren't on that list are
Trinity Bars
Closet Gnome
That's The REVEREND Dr. Kazza to you.
