Here's the e-mail I was going to send you...

1) For warlocks...
4 cool macros
a) focus banish
/focus [button:1]
/cast [button:1] Banish
/cast [button:2,target=focus] Banish
so you left click to banish the mob, go off and fight somewhere else as soon as banish gets to 1 or 2 secs to go (use necrosisldc timers!) then right click and it will automatically retarget and rebanish the mob

b) Uber shadow bolt - useful for when you get nightfall/backlash and you want max damage will work for "Vengeance of the Illidari" too and other trinkets that increase spell damage for a short time
/use Zandalarian Hero Charm
/cast Shadow Bolt

c&d) two buttons to be a onestopshop for pets...
Primary:
clearfocus [target=focus,dead]
/cast [pet:succubus,target=focus,harm]Seduction;[pet:imp,help]Fire Shield; [pet:voidwalker]Sacrifice;[pet:felhunter,target=mouseover]Spell Lock;[pet:felhunter]Spell Lock;[pet:Felguard]Intercept

Secondary
/focus [pet:succubus,harm]
/clearfocus [modifier:alt]
/cast [pet:felhunter,modifier:alt,target=player]Devour Magic;[pet:felhunter,target=mouseover]Devour Magic;[pet:succubus,target=mouseover]Lash of Pain;[pet:voidwalker]Suffering;[pet:Felguard]Cleave

Have a read here for instructions
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... geNo=7#131

2) macros for everyone
here's a great thread of macros for all classes
http://www.worldofraids.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2078

and
3) addon info
Addons...
a) Trinity buttons VERY easy to set up
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/i ... yBars.html
piccy here...
http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/9494 ... 032vg5.jpg
you can see the keybindings are shown here. that ui is actually a month old now so it's marginally different

b) Fubar - replacement for Titan Bar - you can see it in the screeny above (at the top)
It's aced... I'll come to that later.
You'll need the following mods.
FuBar
FuDurability

c) Cartographer - it's aced too... great replacement for Atlas and has Map coords ... I've actually flipped to MetaMap since I wrote this because there's some cool usernotes things going around

d) Monkeyquest - I've gone with Questffu... very easy to use and plugs into fubar - aced

e) Onebag - aced, ditto OneBank and OneRing

f) bank items - never used it but try the aced - OneStorage or OneView

g) Tank Alert - no idea you'll have to search yourself

h) EQcompare = Equipcompare - aced

i) Item Rack - closet gnome - aced... this can also autoequip a mount set or herbalist/mining set etc etc. very useful.

j) ACE.... for ace you need at LEAST 3 libraries
Ace
Ace2
KCItems
but you probably need a few more too... just have a quick look if you get a redbox error message and it'll probably say something about missing... and then a library name, just install a library like another addon.

How to install ace libraries and addons...
1) download this file
http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WinAceUpdater
2) click the addons you want and hit F12
done, same method for updating them too!!!

finally you should consider ORA2 and BIGWIGS, both aced and both useful for raid alerts and boss mods, will be essential later on
also KTM threatmeter is a good one if you care about aggro ... i don't

finally finally!
the official Ace addon pages are at http://www.wowace.com but frankly it's a shytshow and is very badly presented... useful info but badly executed.
my current official source for addons is http://www.wowinterface.com because its MILES less laggy than curse gaming and it has all the aced addons and loads of others but most important it has pages which tell you about the addons, screenshots, and comments... (hints tips etc)
That's The REVEREND Dr. Kazza to you.

Nice one sir, sorry I was just coming this way to drop my email addy off.

Is there any way of having certain addons only load for certain classes?

I'm out all day, but from this evening or tomorrow I imagine I'll be getting back into the game properly so this will be very useful. Thanks for taking the time Kazz.

Sweet, I love Royal Mail! (except when I'm working for them!).

I ordered tbc on super saver delivery from amazon and they said it'd be here on sat or next week, and it arrived today :D. see if I can get it installed before tonight.

By the way, are Blood Elves any good for Warlocks? because that's what I fancied starting, BE Warlock :o.

Kazz, in that screenshot is it the xperl unt thingies your using? http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/9494 ... 032vg5.jpg

And I've tried trinity buttons but I didn't configure and they just sprawled everywhere, what res are you using? I'll have another crack at them.

I'll look at this thread in more detail later, just got tbc installed and now I have to head off out before I play it :/. See y'all later!

Tuff, you can enable or disable addons on a percharacter basis nowadays on the character screen.

For addons, I really couldn't be arsed searching and collecting together all the individual ones I used to use (most of them probably don't exist anymore), so I just got the Mirage pack (used to be Insomniax), and it's got pretty much everything I need.
Loads that I don't need too tho but just disabled them all.

Blood elves should be good for warlock yeah, they get mana tap and arcane torrent which I've found handy on my mage, not sure how useful they'll be at higher levels but lower levels they're useful.
