HUGE Bucketlist tick yesterday, drove to swindon to train with Laurence Shahlaei (2* Britains strongest, and came 4th in 2011 WSM)
90 mins of pure pain, but before my body gives in on me I wanted to use some of the equipment that you never see in normal gyms
Kicked off with a deadlift for warmup
60kg * 5, 100kg * 5, 120 * 5, 140 * 3, 160 - failed, 140 * 2reps * 3 sets
Then moved on to farmers walk - 80kg each hand shuttle runs. 12 metre course there and back. 3 times
Tyre Flips - 300kg tyre, 5 flips * 2 sets .... oh god this hurt
Viking press - frame + 40kg, so probably 60kg in all 5reps * 3 sets
Yoke Walk - 160kg, shuttle runs, 12m there & back. 2 sets
then finally the one I'd been waiting for - Atlas Stone 80kg, couldn't even move it at first... then on the 4th attempt got it onto the platform (must have been 5ft ish)
if that didn't ruin me enough he decided to make me do some sprint intervals to finish me off 15s on, 45 off * 5
Seriously Seriously broken, but had an amazing day, Laurence is a bloody nice bloke and absurdly strong.
